A wealth of invaluable information exists in unstructured textual form, but organizations have found it difficult or impossible to access and utilize it. iKNOWLEDGE is designed to provide end-to-end solution for capturing, classifying, retaining and retiring of unstructured data that does not sit in files and databases into structured format through automated data validation process, without impacting users’ habitual operations. Users could continue to generate data, usually textual, in the form of documents such as drafts, project plans, reports, operational memos, customer reports, invention proposals, research notes, presentations, e-mail messages and the like.
Unstructured Data – The Bugbears
The problem affects individual knowledge workers as well as entire organizations. Swamped by a tsunami of data and content, individuals are suffering from the malaise of information overload. Without a proper system of organizing and categorizing content, statistics indicate that workers waste many hours searching for, sorting and accessing information, incurring significant organizational productivity cost.

Another problem brought on by unstructured data problem that many companies are suffering these days: the things that we do not know we know. This happens as businesses create huge amounts of potentially valuable content but awash daily by a surfeit of information in the form of documents such as drafts, project plans, customer reports, research notes, e-mail messages - current and past, organizations typically use such documents once and then lose them or forget about the existence and hence the non-employment of these information, despite the savings they could realize by reusing them. Internal documents might constitute companies’ most ineffectively utilized asset today.
An even larger concern that is also a long-term institutional problem, people almost always move on when they cannot find useful information quickly. They are unlikely to grind at digesting poorly organized or apparently featureless piles of documents. Thus, organizations do not draw on reservoirs of information that could influence a particular decision, task, or project. Ultimately, this leads to uninformed decisions, overlooked risks and lost opportunities.
Last but not least, time wasted by workers in data cleansing/ scrubbing. Usually information pulled from backend legacy system are in their most rudimentary state and staff has to expend time and effort in consolidating, collating, rekeying key parameters and data fields till these raw contents were distilled in a form presentable to management.
